Student Services provides personalized support for every student’s academic, social, and emotional success. Our counselor, Communities In Schools coordinator, and social worker work together to help students overcome challenges and reach their goals.

I am happy to answer any questions you have and hope you get to know your child's counselor, as we are here to help. Our student services department (school counselor and school social worker) will work with students individually and in large groups to help with personal and social development, advisement, course selection, college admissions, etc. Feel free to email me with any questions or concerns you may have.

Communities In Schools of North Carolina (CISNC) empowers students to stay in school and succeed in life by providing individualized supports. At PLC, Ms. Dani partners with students, families, and staff to set goals that promote academic success and on-time graduation. She connects students with community resources, facilitates small groups, and organizes field trips for real-world learning. Her programs include ACE Day, College Application Spirit Week, attendance incentives, mentorship through SEAKERS Aquatic Adventures, and Check & Connect.

Ms. Brooks has served Cabarrus County Schools since 1996 and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the Student Services Coordinator at PLC. She is dedicated to supporting students’ social, emotional, and academic growth while advocating for their overall well-being. Students may meet with Ms. Brooks for PLC admissions, individual or group counseling, and support in accessing community resources. She is passionate about helping every student feel seen, supported, and empowered to succeed.
